In a major legal victory, the acclaimed music duo Blaq Diamond has emerged triumphant in their court battle against Ambitious Records. Following a hearing at the Johannesburg High Court, a ruling has been issued that prohibits Ambitiouz Entertainment from asserting any rights over Blaq Diamond's upcoming releases. This landmark decision bodes well for Blaq Diamond's future, as it comes on the heels of their previous works being unceremoniously removed by Ambitiouz Entertainment records in recent months.
After thoroughly reviewing the submitted documents, listening to the arguments presented by both parties' legal representatives, and carefully deliberating on the case, the court hereby issues the following order:
01. While awaiting the conclusive resolution of Part B as appended to this application, all individuals and entities associated with the respondents are hereby prohibited from deleting or removing the applicants' YouTube channel account.
02. Furthermore, the court orders that the second respondent is restrained from initiating any copyright or ownership disputes regarding the applicants' works on any digital streaming platform, including the first respondent (Spotify, iTunes, Deezer), starting from June 15, 2022, until the final determination of Part B is reached.
